Navitas POS is a Windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) client application that runs on a Windows-based personal computer configured as a cash register. It provides quick and accurate checkout features using a barcode scanner, touch screen display , and/or keyboard. Navitas POS systems are connected to a server side system via the Internet. The server-side system provides centralized product information, pricing, inventory management, and customer information for the loyalty program. It can operate in both connected and unconnected modes. It supports a variety of payment methods, such as cash, checks, gift certificates, coupons, and credit card transactions. It includes dial-up support for credit card validation.
Navitas POS maintains logs for all transactions. The Navitas POS system communicates with the server-side system to exchange log information, pricing and customer information.
